Masyn Winn is a 5’9” 165 SS/RHP for the Kingwood Mustangs. He has committed to the University of Arkansas.
High School Baseball
As a Junior, Winn hit .417 with 9 2Bs, 8 HRs, 46 RBIs, 37 Runs and a .558 OBP. On the mound, Winn was 13-0 with a 0.67 ERA and 117 Ks in 76.1 innings. Winn was tied for 1st for most Wins among 6A players, 4th in RBIs and tied for 4th in HRs. He was named the 22-6A Most Valuable Player. He was selected to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 6A All-State Team as a 1st Team Pitcher and to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as a 2nd Team Pitcher. Nationally, he selected to the All-USA Baseball 2nd Team and to the MaxPreps Underclass All-American Baseball Team.
In his sophomore year, Winn hit .438 with 14 2Bs, 9 HRs, 49 RBIs, 41 Runs, a .547 OBP and an .821 SLG Pct. On the mound, he was 6-0 with a 2.30 ERA and 77 Ks in 40 innings. He was named the 21-6A Most Valuable Player
As a freshman, Winn hit .368 with 10 2Bs, 18 RBIs and 16 Runs. On the mound, he was 11-1 with a 1.62 ERA and 107 Ks in 80.1 Ks. He was named the 21-6A Newcomer of the Year as well as a First Team All-District Pitcher. He was selected to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 6A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Pitcher and to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Pitcher.
