Texas Players Doing Well in 15U USA National Team

The 15U USA National Team has gotten off to a 5-1 start at the COPABE Pan American games and Texas players are a big part of the reason for the team’s success.

Tanner Witt (Bellaire Episcopal 2020) is hitting .368. He is 7-19 and has 4 doubles and 1 triple. He is tied with Winn for the team lead in doubles. Witt has scored 7 runs and has 2 RBIs. His OBP is .480 and SLG% is .684.

Rawley Hector (Anna 2021) is 1-2 at the plate and has scored a run.

On the mound, Winn has pitched 4 innings in relief giving up 3 Hits, 1 Run, and 0 Earned Runs. He has walked 2 batters and struck out 5. He was the winning pitcher in the game vs Columbia, pitching the 9th, 10th and 11th innings.

Hector had an impressive 6 inning start in the only game the USA lost. But not because of Hector. In the 6 innings he pitched, he gave up only 3 hits, gave up 1 unearned run, walked one batter and had 3 K’s. When he left the game, the 15U USA Team had a 2-1 lead.
