Philip Matulia is a 6’2”, 200 lb C from the TAPPS Division 1 St. Thomas Eagles. He has signed with Louisiana Tech University.
In his junior season, Matulia hit .315 with 8 HRs, 42 RBIs, .433 OBP and .590 SLG%. He was named to the First Team Division 1 District 3 All-District Team. He was selected to the TAPPS Division 1 All-State Baseball Team.
As a sophomore, Matulia hit .341 with a .473 OBP, 3 2Bs, 1 HR, 17 RBIs and 21 Runs. He was named to the 3-5A 2nd Team All-District.
As a freshman, Matulia hit .253 with 4 2Bs and 14 RBIs.
