Jacksboro – The Tigers are off to another very strong start to the season, going 3-0 in tournament play while picking up a win over top 10 Central Heights.
Runner Up
White Oak – The Roughnecks were a perfect 3-0 last week, defeating always-powerful Harmony, a good Atlanta team and 2A #2 Harleton.
Honorable Mention
Jim Ned – The Indians are off to a nice 3-0 start to the season, outscoring opponents, 37-8, while defeating #5 2A Hawley.
Boyd – The Yellow Jackets only had 2 games last week, but impressed, defeating 5A Saginaw and 6a Timer Creek, both of which were in the playoffs last season.
Shallowater – The Mustangs are 4-1 with quality wins over both Iowa Park and Bushland.
McGregor – The Bulldogs only won 3 games last season, but are 2-0 to begin the Steve Smith error, defeating a Valley Mills and 2A top 20 Crawford.
Hughes Springs – The Mustangs performed well in their first week of the season, going 4-1 against a solid grouping of opponents.
Tatum – The Eagles went 4-0 in week one and had nice wins over Harmony and top 20 2A Beckville.
Orangefield – The regional finalist from a year ago posted a 3-0 mark against a full slate of 4A opponents.
Hardin – The Hornets had a 51-5 scoring advantage in a perfect 4-0 week.
