College Station loses final game to St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) 11-6. Goes 1-3 in tournament.
The USA Baseball National High School Invitational (NHSI) brings together 16 of the top prep teams in the country to compete against each other in one of the best high school baseball tournaments in the country. This year the College Station Cougars have been invited to participate.
The NHSI is held March 25-28 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C., and features not only the top teams in the country, but some of the best amateur baseball players as well. Baseball America and The Town of Cary are partnering with USA Baseball in the hosting of the event.
The NHSI will be a single-elimination championship tournament, with each participating team guaranteed to play four games. The Woodlands played in this elite tournament in 2013 and finished 2-2.
