Marcelo Perez is a 5’10”, 165 lb RHP/OF for the 6A Laredo Alexander Bulldogs. He has committed to Texas Christian University.
In his junior season, Perez was 5-1 with a 3.12 ERA and had 59 strikeouts in 46.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .278 with 7 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 2 HRs, 16 RBIs and 26 Runs. He was named the 29-6A MVP.
As a sophomore, Perez was 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA and 28 Ks in 22 innings. He hit .324 with 18 Runs and 17 RBIs. He was named a 2nd Team Outfielder on the 29-6A All-District Team.
Perez was selected to play with the Rangers Area Code Underclassmen Team in 2016.
