2A Game Grade Team of the Week
Simms Bowie – The Pirates picked up two district wins this week to remain tied for first in District 17. They defeated #6 Rivercrest (6-4) and Detroit 10-0). Simms Bowie is 8-2 in district play.
Runner Up:
Thrall – The Tigers went 3-0 this week. They defeated Milano (22-1), Bremond (10-0) and Round Rock Christian Academy (20-1). The Tigers currently have a 10 game win streak and are 9-0 in District 27.
Honorable Mention:
Bruceville Eddy went 2-0 on the week with a 19-13 win over Hico and a 15-2 win over Jonesboro keeping them in position for a playoff spot in District 14.
Hamilton – The Bulldogs had a busy week with 2 important district wins. They defeated Coleman and Gorman to remain in hunt for a District 7 playoff spot. They also hosted Youth Night in Hamilton with youth players on the field during the National Anthem and a movie night after the game.
