2A Game Grade Team of the Week
Thorndale – The Bulldogs went 5-0 on the week outscoring opponents 71-3. The pitcher staff threw 3 no-hitters during the Brentwood Christian tournament defeating McGregor (8-0), St Andrews Episcopal (18-0), 3A Jarrell (10-0) and Brentwood Christian JV (16-1). The Bulldogs hit 3 home runs on the week.
Runner Up:
Harper: The Longhorns went 5-0 on the week. The opened the season with a 8-4 win over Ozona before going 4-0 in tournament play with wins over Sonra JV (12-0), 3A Ingram Moore, 10-0, 6-3) and Eldorado (6-3).
Honorable Mention:
Shiner: The Comanches went 3-0 in tournament play defeating 3A Hallettsville (6-4), 3A Wallis Brazos (9-3) and 3A Lexington (8-0).
