High School Baseball
In his junior season, Fontenot was 9-3 with a 1.91 ERA and 74 Ks in 65.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .299 with 8 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 1 HR, 21 RBIs, 17 Runs, 21 BBs and a .477 OBP. He was named to the 28-6A All-District Team as a 1st Team Pitcher.
As a sophomore, Fontenot was 3-1 with a 3.50 ERA and 30 Ks in 24 innings. At the plate, he hit .333 with 10 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 16 RBIs, a .434 OBP and a .500 SLG Pct. He was named to the 28-6A All-District Team as a 1st Team Outfielder.
