4A Game 1 Robinson vs Sinton

Robinson hit early and hit often in the first 4A State Semifinal game and pitcher Dru Dziedzic held Sinton to only 4 hits as Robison took a 10-0 run rule victory to advance to the 4A State Championship Game.

Robinson scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st on a Peyton Powell Sac Fly and a Dziedzic RBI ground out. They followed up by scoring 4 runs in the 2nd. Jake Strain hit an RBI single and Mason Cooper knocked in 2 runs with a double in the next at bat. Powell completed the scoring with an RBI single to score Cooper.

Robinson increased their lead to 7-0 in the 5th when Cale Mosely singled scoring Braxton Ashcraft.

But it was the 6th that sealed the victory. Robinson scored 3 runs quickly on a 2 RBI triple by Cooper and an RBI single by Powell, giving them the 10-0 win.

Meanwhile, as Robinson was busy scoring runs, Dziedzic was busy preventing runs. Dziednic did not allow a baserunner until the 3rd and dodged Sinton threats in the 3rd and 6th innings. Dziednic had 3 Ks and got 10 ground ball outs in the game.

Offensively, Mason Cooper was 3-4 with 4 RBIs and Peyton Powell was 2-3 with 3 RBIs. Both players also played well defensively.
