4A GameGrade Team of the Week
Princeton Panthers – The Panthers debuted at No. 25 after a 2-0 week improved them to 14-2, 4-0 (District 11-4A). They beat Melissa (No. 34) on Monday and Aubrey on Friday, accumulating 27 hits and 17 runs in the two games. Princeton is now riding a 12-game win streak and improving every week under new head coach Leroy Mansanales.
Runner-Up
Argyle Eagles – No. 1 Argyle put together yet another perfect week, defeating Sanger, Bridgeport and Joshua in the process. The Eagles outscored opponents 31-1 and earned their 13th and 14th shutout wins of the season. They’re now 19-0 and 2-0 in District 9-4A.
Honorable Mention
Lufkin Hudson Hornets – The Hornets had a 2-0 week, shutting out Shepherd on Tuesday before battling for 14 innings to earn a 3-2 win over then-No. 12 Jasper on Thursday. The win was Hudson’s third victory over a ranked 4A team this season.
