4A GameGrade Team of the Week

Jasper Bulldogs – After a 3-0 week, the Bulldogs jumped up to No. 12 in the THSB 4A Top 25 poll. Jasper defeated then-No. 6 Bridge City and No. 36 Carthage on Tuesday and turned around to beat Bridge City again on Friday. The perfect week improved Jasper’s season record to 14-4.

 

Runner-Up

Bushland Falcons – When the bats are hot, Bushland is not a team you want to face. The Falcons went 2-0 over Spring Break, earning consecutive run-rule wins over Lubbock Christian (11-0 in five) and Idalou (29-6 in five). No. 13 Bushland is now 15-4 on the season.

 

Honorable Mention

Huffman Hargrave Falcons – Huffman Hargrave finished the week 2-1 and earned a huge, hard-fought win over No. 2 Sweeny. On Tuesday, the Falcons erased a four-run deficit to give Sweeny its first loss of the season, 8-7, in a 10-inning battle. The following day they defeated Danbury and on Thursday they lost a close game to Private School No. 5 Kinkaid.
