4A GameGrade Team of the Week

Midlothian Heritage Jaguars – The No. 15 Jaguars are hitting their stride, and it showed last week. Midlothian Heritage opened the week with an impressive 7-0 road win over a solid Glen Rose team and then rocked Venus in a 20-4 win where they totaled 19 hits. The Jaguars currently sit at 12-3 on the year and 4-0 in District 8-4A.

 

Runner-Up

Salado Eagles – No. 13 Salado took sole possession of first place in District 19-4A after earning two big district wins. They shutout Liberty Hill on Tuesday and turned around to beat a quality Taylor club 3-1, ending a six-game win streak for the Ducks. The Eagles are now 12-2-2 on the season and 4-0 in district play.

 

Honorable Mention

Orangefield Bobcats – The No. 25 Bobcats debuted in the THSB 4A Top 25 poll following a 2-0 district week. Orangefield earned two one-sided wins over a good Hamshire-Fannett squad, recording 29 runs on 24 hits and giving up just six runs. They improved to 13-2-1 on the season and are riding a four-game win streak.
