4A GameGrade Team of the Week
Canyon – The Eagles put up a perfect 6-0 record over the last week and outscored opponents 75-10. The bats are definitely on fire for Coach Doan and Canyon.
Runner Up
Sweeny – Sweeny defeated El Campo, Ft. Bend Bush, Ft. Bend Dulles, Richmond Foster, and Rosenberg Lamar to serve notice to the rest of 25-4A that they are returning to the form that saw them as state runner-ups in 2018 and 2019.
Honorable Mention
Texarkana Pleasant Grove – The Hawks went 4-0 last week with impressive wins against Carthage, Marshall, and Mt. Pleasant. It looks like 15-4A will once again run through TPG.
