5A Game Grade Team of the Week
Frisco Wakeland – The Wolverines had the most impressive resume in the state for week one, knocking off a number of ranked teams, including 6A Keller, Rockwall & McKinney Boyd.
Runner Up
Leander Rouse – Rouse has opened some eyes after defeating 5A #1 Cleburne in their opening tournament, 5-1. Coach Krempin and crew finished the Waco ISD tourney at 5-0.
Honorable Mention
Forney – Forney is perfect after week one and picked up two impressive wins over #4 Hallsville.
Mansfield Legacy – Legacy dominated their opening tournament, taking down 5A #14 Aledo and Private School #4 Midland Christian.
Brenham – Brenham took down 6A Cy Ranch & Bridgeland – both of which are ranked inside the preseason top 30 rankings.
