Travis Sanders, Jr, Copperas Cove (11-for-19, .579, 4 HR, 2 3B, 2 2B, 13 RBI, 12 R, 4 BB)

Sanders, a Texas Tech commit, hit a grand slam and a 3-run home run in a 4-for-4 game against San Antonio O’Connor. He also had a 2-run home run against Marble Falls and a solo shot against Austin LASA to help him accumulate 13 RBI from the leadoff spot.

Runner Up
Paul Cerda, Sr, Channelview (8-for-13, .615, 6 3B, 12 RBI, 6 R, 5 BB)

Cerda hit two triples in three of five games to open Channelview’s season, against Foster, Morton Ranch and Mayde Creek.

Honorable Mention
Jayson Jones, Jr, Denton Braswell (7-for-10, .700, 2 HR, 3B, 2 2B, 4 RBI, 9 R, 3 BB)

Jones recorded seven hits in four games and knocked a 2-run home run against Mansfield and a solo shot against Grapevine.
