6A GameGrade Team of the Week

*GameGrade 6A Team of the Week is the……..

Rockwall Heath Hawks – the Hawks faced off with Rockwall HS in their much anticipated rival series last week and swept the Yellowjackets by the scores of 3-1 and 7-2. The two teams were ranked high in the pre-season polls with Rockwall at #2 and Heath #4. It may not be the last time they meet in 2018!

 

*Runner Up is……….

The Woodlands – the Highlanders had a productive week by winning 3 district games defeating Conroe, Lufkin and College Park vaulting them to the top of the district standings in district 12-6A. They had 39 hits and a .453 avg …pitchers gave up 6 ER, had 21 K’s and 3 BB.

 

*Honorable Mention is……….

Wolforth Frenship –  the Tigers had a busy week in winning two district games against Midland HS and Midland Lee then beating Lubbock Monterrey In a non-district game that raised their record to 19-3 for the season and 4-1 in district play.
