6A GameGrade Team of the Week
Lake Travis – The Lake Travis Cavaliers put together an unbeaten 4-0-1 week at the loaded Rangers National High School Showcase. They defeated two THSB preseason Top 20 squads in No. 1 Prosper and No. 7 Southlake Carroll, tied No. 4 Marcus and beat two solid teams in Flower Mound and South Grand Prairie.
Runner Up
Round Rock – The Round Rock Dragons went 6-0 at the Central Texas First Pitch Classic. They defeated quality competition, including two THSB preseason Top 20 teams in No. 5 San Antonio Regan and No. 11 Frenship.
Honorable Mention
Eaton – The Eaton Eagles started the season 6-0 for the first time in school history. They earned three shutout wins at the Northwest HS “Big Tex” Tournament and outscored opponents 53-9.
