High School Career
As a junior, Pompey was 8-3 with a 1.08 ERA and 62 Strikeouts in 58.1 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .200 with 3 Doubles, 1 Triple, 2 Home Runs, 20 Runs, 16 RBIs, 22 Stolen Bases and a .366 OBP. He was named the 6-6A MVP.

In his sophomore season, Pompey hit .258 with 10 Doubles, 1 Triple, 1 Home Run, 27 Runs, 16 RBIs, 8 SB and a .419 OBP. He was named a 6-6A 2nd Team All-District Infielder.
