High School Career
In his junior season, Sharp was 6-2 with an 0.68 ERA and 97 Strikeouts in 51 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .352 with 10 Doubles, 4 Triples, 3 Home Runs, 16 RBIs, 27 Runs, a .453 OBP and a .602 SLG. He was named the 13-6A MVP. Sharp was named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 6A All-State Team as a 2nd Team Pitcher and to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Pitcher.
As a sophomore, Sharp was 8-5 with a 1.10 ERA and 89 Strikeouts in 69.2 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .304 with 8 Doubles, 1 Home Run, 19 RBIs, 26 Runs and a .395 OBP. He was named the 13-6A MVP.
