Blake Mitchell is a 6-2 200 Senior C/SS/RHP for the 30-4A Sinton Pirates. He has committed to Louisiana State University.

High School Career
As a junior, Mitchell hit .465 with 17 Doubles, 5 Triples, 7 Home Runs, 52 RBI and 49 Runs. Among all 4A players, he was tied for 1st in Runs and RBIs, 3rd in Doubles and tied for 5th in Home Runs. On the mound, he was 6-0 with an 0.39 ERA and 67 Strikeouts in 35 innings pitched. He was ranked 6th among all 4A players in ERA. Mitchell was named the 26-4A Junior of the Year and was named the 4A Co-Player of the Year by the Texas Sports Writers Association. He was also named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 4A All-State Team as a 1st Team Catcher

In his sophomore season, Mitchell hit .430 with 15 Doubles, 2 Triples, 2 Home Runs, 32 RBI and 30 Runs. On the mound, he was 5-0 with an 0.17 ERA with 62 Ks in 39.1 innings. He was 2nd among all 4A players in ERA. He was named 26-4A Sophomore of the Year. He was also named to the Texas Sports Writers Association 4A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Relief Pitcher.
