Barrett Kent is a 6-4 200 RHP/1B for the 11-3A Pottsboro Cardinals. He has committed to the University of Arkansas.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

High School Career
In his junior season, Kent was 10-3 with 1 Save, a 1.97 ERA, a 0.992 WHIP and 110 Strikeouts in 68.1 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .382 with 6 Doubles, 4 Triples, 7 Home Runs, 42 RBIS, 40 Runs, a .507 OBP and a .725 SLG. He was named the 11-3A MVP. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 3A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Pitcher.

As a sophomore, Kent was 3-2 with 1 Save, a 2.33 ERA and 53 Strikeouts in 27 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .430 with 12 Doubles, 2 Triples, 5 Home Runs, 23 RBI, 25 Runs, a .509 OBP and a .763 SLG. He selected to the 11-3A All-District Team as a 1st Team 1B and Pitcher.
