Coach Rusty Beam of Southwest Christian became the newest member of this distinguished club when his Eagles defeated Waco University 13-2 on Friday, February 24 in the Waco ISD Tournament.
Coach Beam is in his 18th year at Southwest Christian, the same school where he began his career in 1994. He also coached basketball and football. He has also had stints at Fort Worth Christian and Colleyville Covenant, where he also served as the Athletic Director. Altogether, Coach Beam has been a Head Baseball coach for 25 seasons. Over those 25 seasons, he has led his teams to 3 TAPPS State Championships as well as numerous district titles. Coach Beam is well respected across the state, and in addition to being an outstanding coach he is one of the best men you will ever meet. We at THSB are grateful for his support since the inception of Private School coverage in 2017. Congratulations Coach Beam!
