Lewis threw a no-hitter against a solid Buda Hays squad on Tuesday night in a run-rule victory. Lewis’ complete game shutout of Hays was the first time all season the Rebels didn’t score in a game.

Ty Fontenot – SA Brandeis, Jr
6.1 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 R, 11 K
Fontenot was dominant in his relief appearance Tuesday night to help the Broncos earn a come-from-behind win over Taft to secure the two-seed in 28-6A.

Honorable Mention
Hogan Hargrove – Mansfield, Jr
2 G, 9 IP, 6 H, 1 BB, 3 R, 5 K
Hargrove earned a win and a save for his efforts in Mansfield’s sweep over Grand Prairie which got them a spot in the playoffs. He pitched three innings in a start on Tuesday that was suspended due to weather, pitched 2.1 in relief on Friday, then continued the postponed game on Saturday for the win.
