Flatonia Bangs Out 8 Hits, Tops Anson 5-3 in 1A Semifinal

Flatonia scored half as many runs as the rest of the season on Anson’s Matt Villanueva. The Bulldogs scored 5 runs on 8 hits and Mitchel Mica pitched 5.2 innings of no-hit ball to lift Flatonia to a 5-3 victory and a berth in the 1A State Championship game versus Douglass on Thursday.

Notes

-Flatonia’s #8 and #9 batters, Wyatt Wehmeyer and Kaddin Mikulik, were 3-5 with a BB, 2 RBIS and 3 Runs.
-Casen Novak and Easton Migl, the first 2 batters were a combined 4-8 with an RBI and a Run scored.
-Anson got all 5 of their hits and 3 runs in the last 1.2 innings. Of those 5 hits, 3 were for extra bases.
