Flower Mound Advances with Impressive Wins

The Flower Mound Jaguars struggled to get past their first and second round opponents. Both series ended up going to a Game 3 and both Game 3’s were very tight. Not so with the 3rd round matchup with Mansfield. Flower Mound won both games by run rules, including last night’s huge 15-3 win. Flower Mound banged out 26 hits and 25 runs in the two games. They only managed 18 runs in the previous 6 playoff games.

Sean Wymer had the most potent bat going 4-7 with 2 3Bs and a HR and 6 RBIs in the 2 games. Jameson Hannah was 3-3 with a walk, knocking in 3 runs and scoring 4 times.

They were also effective on the mound with Kyle Johnston throwing a 6 inning shutout on Thursday night and B.J. Myers and Parker Murphy combined to give up only 2 earned runs in Friday’s game.

Flower Mound plays the winner of the Southlake Carroll/San Angelo Central matchup next week in the Regional Semifinal Round.
