Gabe Kurtzhals, Sr, RHP/2B, Ft. Worth Boswell

Gabe Kurtzhals is a 5’9”, 160 lb RHP/2B for the 5A Ft. Worth Boswell Pioneers. He has signed with West Virginia University.

In his junior season, Kurtzhals hit .333 with a .410 OBP, 10 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 1 HR, 12 Runs and 19 RBIs. On the mound he was 3-3 with 3 Saves, a 3.13 ERA and 51 Ks in 38 innings. He was named a 2nd Team Pitcher on the 6-5A All-District Team.

As a sophomore, Kurtzhals hit .309 with 2 2Bs and 9 Runs. On the mound, he was 5-4 with a 2.38 ERA and 82 K’s in 58.2 innings. He was named a 1st Team Pitcher on the 5-5A All-District Team.

As a freshman, Kurtzhals was 3-2 with a 2.40 ERA and 27 Ks. He was named a 2nd Team Pitcher on the 5-5A All-District Team.

He was selected to the All-Tournament Team at the 2017 17U National Championship.
