Wall Hawks – Wall was thorough in the Shallowater tournament, going a perfect 4-0 with 3 wins over 4A programs and another over a 6A team that was in the third round of the playoffs last season.

Leonard Tigers – Leonard is off to a hot 3-0-1 start to the season. After picking up a 2-1 win over Celeste to open the year, the Tigers notched a 6-5 win over #2 Pottsboro, took down Paradise (9-8) and ended in a 8-8 tie with #14 Whitesboro.
Honorable Mention
Grandview Zebras – The Zebras lived up to their preseason top 10 ranking, taking down #4 Gateway Prep to go along with good 4A programs in Caldwell and Navarro.
