5A Game Grade Team of the Week
Buda Hays – The Hawks had back-to-back wins over top 10 Leander Rouse to propel themselves back into the 25-5A title hunt.
Runner Up:
Mesquite Poteet – After going 0-13 in district play last year, Mesquite Poteet is now 17-4-1 and 9-1 in district play. The Pirates just also notched a quality non-district win over North Forney.
Honorable Mention:
Lake Belton – The Broncos jump into the top 25 after two wins over Killeen and another over top 25 Rouse.
