Buda Hays – The Hawks had back-to-back wins over top 10 Leander Rouse to propel themselves back into the 25-5A title hunt.

Mesquite Poteet – After going 0-13 in district play last year, Mesquite Poteet is now 17-4-1 and 9-1 in district play. The Pirates just also notched a quality non-district win over North Forney.
