Friendswood Mustangs – The Mustangs are off to a very nice 6-1 start to the season, which included a win over 6A preseason #1 Pearland.

GameGrade 5A Runner Up
Montgomery Lake Creek – Lake Creek went 5-1 to start the season.  This included two wins (Oak Ridge, Kingwood) over two top 30 6A programs.

GameGrade 5A Honorable Mention
Frisco Raccoons – Frisco High is nearly halfway to their total win total from a season ago after going 5-0 in their opening weekend tourney.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial – C.C. Vets is 5-0 and scorched the competition with a 50-8 scoring advantage.
