Frisco Lone Star – The Rangers had a pair of wins over defending regional champ Frisco Wakeland to begin 9-5A district action.

Runner Up:
Grapevine – The Mustangs produced back-to-back shutouts of Colleyville Heritage to open up 7-5A play.

Honorable Mention:
Abilene Wylie – After dropping their opening district game, the Bulldogs have won 7 games in a row, including 5 4-5A contests.

College Station – The Cougars had a pair of quality wins over Brenham to begin the 21-5 district slate.
