GameGrade 6A Team of the Week
Lake Travis– The No. 2 Cavaliers are widely considered one of the top teams in the nation and they showed why this week. They went 4-0 with three District 25 wins and outscored opponents 29-8. Lake Travis earned a walk-off 5-4 win against Bowie on Saturday behind a three-run seventh to improve to 21-0, 9-0.

Rockwall-Heath – The Hawks made their Top 25 debut after sweeping their season series against Rockwall in one of 6A’s classic rivalries. No. 24 Heath shutout the Yellowjackets 9-0 on Tuesday then finished the job with a 4-2 win on Friday to extend its winning streak to seven games and take control of District 11.
Honorable Mention
SA Brandeis – The Broncos are riding a season-long seven game win streak after earning two District 28 victories last week. Brandeis defeated a solid Stevens squad in come-from-behind fashion on a three-run bomb by Oscar Cardenas to move into a two-way tie for second in the district.
