GameGrade 6A Team of the Week
Prosper – The Eagles played one of the toughest tournament schedules of the season last week at the Scotland Yard Classic and came out with an impressive 5-1 record. Prosper defeated Keller, Sachse, Coppell, Flower Mound—all of whom were ranked in the top 20 heading into the weekend—and Denton Guyer. Their only loss came to a very good 4A No. 1 Argyle squad. No. 6 Prosper now sits at 15-2 on the season.
Runner Up
Spring Branch Memorial – The Mustangs made their Top 25 debut this week after a strong 4-0-1 outing at the Frisco Tournament. Memorial defeated then-No. 9 Marcus, 5A Top 25 squads Frisco Wakeland and Frisco Lone Star and a very solid Rockwall-Heath team. They also recorded a 3-3 tie against No. 10 Westlake. Memorial boasts a 12-2-1 record and an 11-game unbeaten streak as it heads into District 17-6A play.
Honorable Mention
SA Johnson – The Jaguars earned the San Antonio Classic Championship by going 6-0 over the weekend. They defeated two 5A Top 25 teams in CC King and Boerne Champion and a handful of competitive 6A squads. Johnson is 14-3 on the season and will begin a very tough District 27-6A schedule riding a seven-game win streak.
