GameGrade 6A Team of the Week
Midland Lee – When one streak ends, another begins. The Rebels got back in the win column with victories over Abilene Cooper, Odessa Permian and Wolfforth Frenship last week. They outscored opponents 34-9 to improve to 13-5 overall and 2-1 in District 2-6A.
Runner Up
Southlake Carroll – The Dragons got off to a great start in the very tough District 5-6A by sweeping No. 14 Keller. They fought back for an eight-inning, 7-6 win behind a three-run seventh on Thursday, then overcame Keller’s five-run first inning for a 7-5 victory on Friday.
Honorable Mention
SA Reagan – The Rattlers improved their season-long win streak to six games by defeating SA Johnson, SA Churchill and New Braunfels Canyon last week. They fought for an eight-inning, 4-1 win to end Johnson’s win streak on Tuesday, then outscored their next two opponents 18-6 to move to 15-4-1 overall.
