The Harvest Christian Academy Saints (Lantana) defeated the Victory Christian Academy Patriots (Decatur) 19-1 Monday evening, April 29, to claim the 2024 TCAF State Championship. Harvest Christian was also the TCAF State Champion in 2023.
Sophomore Adam Abernathy was named the State Championship MVP. He was the winning pitcher with 4 IP, 1 Run, 0 ER, 3 K and 0 BB. He also was 2-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Junior Jase French was named TCAF State All Tournament Player hitting 1.000 (6-6) with 4 RBI and 5 Runs.
The TCAF State Tournament consisted of 4 teams. Harvest Christian defeated St. Paul’s Preparatory (Arlington) 18-5 in one State Semifinal game. Victory Christian defeated Chisholm Trail Academy (Keene) 13-3 in the other State Semifinal.
Harvest Christian finished the season with a 13-3 record.
