Pleasant Grove’s baseball team will play for their fourth state championship tomorrow night after defeating Lubbock Cooper 7-3 in the 3A State Semifinals this afternoon. The defending state champions were led by underclassmen Joe Pearlman and Jarod Bayless. The nine hole hitter, Pearlman, went 2-3 with 2 singles, 1 runs scored, 1 walk, and 3 RBI’s at the plate. Sophomore Jarod Bayless pitched 4 solid relief innings throwing 50 strikes in 77 pitches and only allowing one run. The Hawks face the winner of La Grange vs Silsbee Thursday at 6:30 PM in the 3A state title game.
