Kenny Saenz of Moody is the Player of the Game for Semifinal #2
The battle of junior pitchers proved to be all that and then some. Both Kenny Saenz and Patrick Mahomes gave us all exactly what we were looking for in a State Semifinal match up. Saenz came out on the winning side after giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits and getting just enough run support from his usually potent offense. After the game, when questioned by reporters as to how he was able to pull out the win after an unusually rough start, Saenz said “I hate losing more than I love winning”. The Trojans will go on to play Tomball tomorrow night at 7:00pm here at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
