Hayde Key is a 6’0” 185 RHP/IF for the 6A Ft. Bend Ridge Point Panthers. He has committed to Texas Tech University.

High School Baseball

In his junior season, Key was 13-2 with a 1.17 ERA and 118 Ks in 95.1 innings. He was tied for 1st among all 6A pitchers with 13 wins. At the plate, he hit .392 with 7 2Bs, 2 HRs, 23 Runs, 31 RBIs, a .460 OBP and a .500 SLG. Key was selected as the 20-6A MVP and was named the Region 3 Playoff MVP.  He was named to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as a 1st Team Pitcher and to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 6A All-State Team as a 2nd Team Pitcher.

As a sophomore, Key was 4-0 with 3 saves, a 0.24 ERA and 34 K’s in 28.2 innings. He was named to the 20-6A All-District Team as a 2nd Team Pitcher.
