High School Career
In his junior season, Rose was 7-5 with a 1.68 ERA and 81 Strikeouts in 79 Innings. At the plate, he hit .364 with 10 Doubles, 1 Triple, 4 Home Runs, 43 RBIs, 16 Runs, a .473 OBP and a .568 SLG. He was 7th in RBIs among all 6A players in Texas. Rose was named to the 10-6A All-District Team as a 1st Team Pitcher. He was also named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 6A All-State Team as a 2nd Team Catcher and to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Catcher.
As a sophomore, Rose was 8-3 with a 2.80 ERA and 60 Strikeouts in 60 Innings. At the plate, he hit .308 with 8 Doubles, 3 Triples, 2 Home Runs, 32 RBIs, 8 Stolen Bases, a .383 OBP and a .459 SLG. He was named to the 10-6A All-District Team as a 1st Team Pitcher.
