Ryan Targac is a 6’1” 195 SS/RHP for the 3A Hallettsville Brahmas. He has committed to Texas A&M University.

High School Baseball

In his junior season, Targac hit .443 with 7 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 5 HRs, 42 RBIs, a .569 OBP and a .772 SLG Pct. On the mound, he was 8-1 with an 0.32 ERA, 67 Ks in 43.2 innings and 5 shut outs. He was named the 28-3A Co-MVP and the Pitcher of the Year on the Victoria Advocate All-Area Baseball Team. Targac was selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 3A All-State Team as a 2nd Team Shortstop.

As a sophomore, Targac hit .484 with 18 2Bs, 3 3Bs, 3 HRs, 34 RBIs, 25 Runs and 14 SBs. On the mound, he was 8-1 with an 0.37 ERA and 76 Ks. He was named the 27-3A MVP and the Victoria Advocate All-Area Offensive Player of the Year.  Targac was selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 3A All-State Team as a 2nd Team SS and to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 3A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Pitcher.

As a freshman, Targac hit .455 with 7 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 2 HRs, 27 RBIs, 23 Runs and 19 Stolen Bases. He was named the 27-3A Newcomer of the Year.
