High School Career
In his junior season, Ellwanger was 5-2 with a 1.77 ERA and 88 Strikeouts in 47.1 Innings. He was named to the 19-5A All-District Team as a 1st Team Pitcher.
As a sophomore, Ellwanger was 5-2 with a 2.41 ERA and 65 Strikeouts in 46.1 Innings. He was named the 19-5A Newcomer of the Year.
