Currington was named a Tournament Elite Hitter at the WWBA 17U National Championships this past July.
As a Sophomore, Currington hit .358 with 7 2Bs, 1 3B and 17 RBIs. He was named a 1st Team Catcher on the 12-4A All-District Team.
As a Freshman, Currington hit .286 with 5 2Bs, 2 3Bs and 18 RBIs. He was named a 2nd Team Catcher on the 13-4A All-District Team.
