In his junior season, Perez was 7-2 with a 1.25 ERA and 86 Strikeouts in 64.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .350 with 13 Doubles, 2 Triples, 4 Home Runs, 32 RBIs, 26 Runs, a .451 OBP and a .605 SLG. He was named a 1st Team Pitcher on the 29-5A All-District Team. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 5A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Outfielder.
