Jared Southard is a 6’2” 210 Senior RHP/1B for the 5A Leander Rouse Raiders. He has committed to the University of Texas.

As a Junior, Southard was 6-3 with a 2.10 ERA and 64 Ks in 43.1 innings. At the plate he hit .292 with 7 2Bs, 1 HR, 13 RBIs, 11 Runs and a .373 OBP and a .446 SLG. He was named a 19-5A First Team All-District Pitcher.

Southard was selected to play in the USA Baseball States Play Games this summer. He threw 91 MPH in a Perfect Game Showcase this summer. He was a Preseason Perfect Game Underclass 1st Team All-American.

As a Sophomore, Southard was 5-0 with a 2.10 ERA and 62 Ks in 43.1 innings. At the plate, he hit 3 2Bs, 1 3B, 10 RBIs, with a .266 OBP. He was named a 19-5A 2nd Team All-District Pitcher. He was a Preseason Perfect Game Underclass Honorable Mention All-American.

As a Freshman for 6A Rouse, Southard hit .265 with 5 2Bs, 10 RBIs, and a .340 OBP
On the mound, he was 0-3 for the 3-22 Raiders with a 3.66 ERA and 17 Ks in 20.3 innings.
