Ranger AC Team Picks up First Loss on Day 3

The Rangers Area Code Team came back to tie the game at 3-3 in the 5th inning after being down 3-1 but couldn’t hold off the Brewers as they lost their first game of the Area Code Tournament 6-3.

Down 2-0 in the bottom of the 2nd, the Rangers picked up a run. Trent Vilade (Prestonwood Christian Academy) singled with out and advanced to 3rd on a C.J. Sampson (Tomball) single. Vilade then scored on a wild pitch.

In the bottom of the 5th, the Rangers tied the game with two more runs. J.T. Darden (Cypress Woods) and Jorvorskie Lane (Ft. Worth Wyatt) walked. With two outs Jordon Garza (CC Veterans Memorial) hit a ground ball that resulted in an error that scored both Darden and Lane. That made it 3-3.

The Brewers scored one in the 6th and two in the 7th for the final 6-3 score.
