Rangers AC Team Loses on Day 5, Finishes 3rd in Area Code Tournament

The Rangers Area Code Team loses to the Athletics Area Code Team 4-3 on Day 5. The team had a good run and finished 3rd place among the 8 teams in the tournament.

Down 1-0, the Rangers took the lead in the top of the 3rd. Connor Comeau (Austin Anderson) and Grady Emerson (Ft. Worth Christian) singled in the inning and a Jovorksie Lane (Ft. Worth Wyatt) line drive scored both runners to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead. The A’s scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take a 4-2 lead. The Rangers picked up another run in the 6th when Lane scored on a Spencer Browning (Pleasant Grove) single. But the Rangers could not pick up another run in the 7th.

The Yankees AC Team and the Brewers AC Team finished tied for first with a 3-0-2 record.
