High School Career
In his junior season, Solis was 10-0 with a 1.60 ERA and 113 Strikeouts in 61.1 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .436 with 8 Doubles, 4 Triples, 1 Home Runs, 22 RBIs, 44 Runs, 19 Stolen Bases, a .533 OBP and a .623 SLG. He was named the 32-5A MVP. He was also named the Monitor’s All-Area Pitcher of the Year and to the Texas Sports Writers Association 5A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Pitcher.

As a sophomore, Solis was 7-1 with an 0.66 ERA and 71 Strikeouts in 53 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .329 with 4 Doubles, 2 Triples, 6 Stolen Bases, 23 RBIs, 24 Runs and a .464 OBP. He was named the 32-5A Pitcher MVP. He was also named to the Texas Sports Writers Association 5A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Pitcher.
