Peyton Powell is a 6’1” 190 Senior Catcher for the 4A Robinson Rockets. He has committed to the University of Texas.

As a Junior, Powell hit .430 with 9 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 30 RBIs, and a.516 OBP. He was named a 1st Team Catcher on the 17-4A All-District Team. Powell was selected to Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Team as a 2nd Team Catcher and to the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Team as a Honorable Mention Catcher. He was also selected to play for the 2018 Rangers Area Code Team.

As a Sophomore, Powell hit .346 with 9 2Bs, 1 3B, 19 Runs, 33 RBIs with a .457 OBP. He was named to the 17-4A All-District Team as a 1st Team Catcher. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Team as a 3rd Team Catcher.

In his Freshman year, Powell hit .301 with 4 2Bs, 19 RBIs and a .450 OBP. He was named the 17-4A Newcomer of the Year.
