High School Career
In his junior season, Bennett hit .418 with 20 Doubles, 1 Triple, 1 Home Run, 16 RBIs, a .547 OBP and a .645 SLG. He was 2nd in the state in doubles among all 6A players. On the mound, he was 4-0 with a 0.97 ERA and 25 Ks in 33 innings pitched. He was named to the 13-6A All-District Team as a 1st Team Catcher. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Catcher.

As a sophomore, Bennett hit .444 with 13 Doubles, 1 Home Run, 9 RBIs, a .601 OBP and a .641 SLG. He was named the 13-6A Newcomer of the Year.
