Dominic Tamez is a 5’10” 195 Catcher from the 6A San Antonio Johnson Jaguars. He has committed to the University of Arkansas.

As a Junior, Tamez hit .393 with 9 2Bs, 9 HRs and 32 RBIs. He was tied for 3rd in Home Runs among all 6A Players. He was named to the 26-6A All-District Team as a 1st Team Catcher and to the Express News Super Team as a 1st Team Catcher. Tamez was selected to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Associaton All-State Team as a 1st Team Catcher and to the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Team as 3rd Team Catcher. He was also named to the USA Today Texas Baseball Team as a 1st Team Catcher.

Tamez was selected to play for the Nationals Area Code Team in 2018. He was 4-9 with 2 RBIs and 3 BBs at the Area Code Games and was selected to the All Area Code Team.

As a Sophomore, Tamez hit .385. He was named to the 26-6A All-District Team as a 2nd Team Catcher.
